On Monday 11 November 2019, the AUAF Business Department, Office of Student Affairs, Alumni Relations, and the Arête Business Club have organized the campus-wide “2019 Business Excellence Awards & Entrepreneurs Showcase” event at AUAF international campus. The event started with welcome remarks by AUAF President Mr. David Sedney followed by Board of Trustees member Ms. Leslie Shweitzer who encouraged entrepreneurial spirit. Then our keynote speaker Mr. Sanzar Kakar the Chairman of Afghanistan Holding Group (AHG) delivered an inspirational speech. The Platinum Sponsor of this event was “Ghazanfar Bank”. Mr. Ali Mushtaaq and Mr. Naweed Hamidi as our VIP guests participated in the event on behalf of Ghazanfar Bank. Mr. Ali Mushtaq delivered his remarks and expressed his appreciation to AUAF students and administration in promoting entrepreneurship in Afghanistan. In addition, VIP guests from Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Roshan Telecom, Afghanistan Holding Group, and Mezan International School were also participated in this event. Furthermore, the Entrepreneurship Pitch Contest participants who were under graduate (UG) students from MGT 260-460 class presented their pitch projects and their results are as follow:

The event was closed by Dr. Arni Arnthorsson the Chair of Business Department inspirational remarks, afterward there was Fashion Show which was organized with the support of Hareer Clothing Services owned by AUAF alumni Ms. Homa Osmani. Alumni showcase featured AUAF students and alumni presenting their businesses and works.
